Ryan Greer, owner of Flux Productions, is a self-proclaimed compulsive maker in Brooklyn, NY. Fascinated with how the bags he makes change and distress with use, he’s found a sense a collaboration between the maker and wearer, believing that the bags are truly finished by the wearer, not him.
When he’s not making bags, you can find Ryan fixing bikes or riding back from Rockaway, where he soaks in every kind of language and race and housing in huge shifts from block to block.
Ryan grew up in “wayyy upstate New York,” where his family had no running water and lived in the woods off of a little dirt road. Growing up doing carpentry and studying painting, there’s never been a time where he wasn’t fussing with something with his hands.
Next, Ryan is going to learn to act, or drive, or surf, or weld, or probably all of the above.
